These plants are slightly curved, cudgel-shaped, fluid-filled, light greenish and transparent in color, and grow up to 3-5 cm long. This species forms clumps on rocks that are occasionally covered with sand in lower intertidal to subtidal zones along calm shorelines such as reef flats.
