This species consists of narrow, single layer tubular filaments, that are about 0.5-1.0 mm in diameter with scattered branchlets. The end of each branchlet is uniseriate and not sharp in shape. The plants attach to rocks or other solid substrates in subtidal zones in calm places such as aquaculture ponds.
